Koen Dejonckheere was appointed CEO of Gimv in 2008. Previously, he was managing director at KBC Securities. Prior to that, Koen Dejonckheere was active in both Corporate Finance and Private Equity.
Koen Dejonckheere graduated in civil engineering at Ghent University and has an MBA from IEFSI-EDHEC in Lille (France).
In addition to his position as CEO, he has also been a member of the board of directors of Gimv since 2008.

Edmond Bastijns joined Gimv in September 2000 and since 2007, he has been responsible for the legal department in his capacity as Chief Legal Officer. In July 2016, he was appointed Secretary General and became a member of the executive committee. Before Gimv, he was a lawyer at Linklaters in Brussels (formerly De Bandt, van Hecke & Lagae) from 1996 until 2000. He holds a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Leuven (KU Leuven) and he recently completed the Advanced Management Program at the Chicago Booth School of Business.
Dirk Dewals joined Gimv in 2009, bringing in the extensive experience he acquired during the ten years he worked for Petercam’s Corporate Finance department. At Petercam he advised companies and their shareholders with regard to mergers and acquisitions, capital market transactions and strategic evaluations. Both listed and private companies were among his clients.
Dirk Dewals graduated as a Commercial Engineer at KU Leuven and has worked in the business economics and strategy department of the University of Leuven (KU Leuven).

During his more than 20 years at Gimv, Bart Diels has built a successful and broad full cycle track record, both in early and late stage investments, in business building, buy & build strategies and exit (IPO & trade sale) and this in different sectors.
Bart guided early stage companies such as BAI, Coreoptics, eXimius, Filepool and Metris from a smart idea towards a rewarding exit. Also later stage deals such as FICS and LMS were successfully sold. Today, Bart is chairman at OTN Systems and board member at Eurocept. In addition to his deal experience, Bart was also very instrumental in building out Gimv’s Venture Capital team and practice. His broad experience will be vital in further expanding Gimv’s Health & Care platform, which he has been leading since the end of 2012.
Bart holds a Master’s degree in Financial and Quantitative Economics and an MBA, both from the University of Antwerp (Belgium).
Erik Mampaey was appointed Head Sustainable Cities as from the start of 2018.
He came to Gimv from ENGIE, where he had the function of Head of Acquisitions, Investments & Financial Advisory (AI&FA) Europe (Business units Benelux, North/East/Central/South Europe, UK/Ireland, Generation). As such, he was responsible for a long range of strategic and financial projects throughout Europe, managing an M&A / financial engineering team focusing on a very broad range of energy and sustainable topics.
Erik Mampaey graduated as Commercial Engineer at the University of Louvain, followed by an Executive Master degree in Corporate Finance at Solvay Brussels School.

Kristof Vande Capelle is Chief Financial Officer of Gimv.
Before joining Gimv in September 2007, he worked at Mobistar as Director Strategic Planning and Investor Relations. Other professional experiences are Credit Analyst at KBC and Academic Assistant at the University of Leuven. He holds a Master in Applied Economics (major in Corporate Finance) and a Master of Arts in Economics, both from the University of Leuven (KU Leuven).
Tom Van de Voorde reinforced the Gimv-team in 2007, first in Buyouts & Growth Belgium, where he realized several management buyouts and investments in growth companies and consequently within Smart Industries Platform. Today he is responsible for Gimv’s Smart Industries platform, focused on investments in technology/engineering with value creation as a result.
He gained valuable experience in investment banking at Bank Degroof, where he worked as Vice President Investment Banking & Private Equity and Advisory at NIBC in Brussels as head of M & A.
He is a member of the board of directors of Cegeka, Mega, Summa, Grandeco and Impression International and realized following exits since 2014: Trustteam, Xeikon, Hecht, Luciad and Vandemoortele.
Tom Van de Voorde holds a Master’s degree in Commercial Engineering from the University of Leuven (KU Leuven) and a fulltime MBA from the University of Chicago (Booth).
