GIMV invests in management buyout of Dutch BMC Group

GIMV invests through its subsidiary Halder in the management buyout of the Dutch BMC Group. The company supplies professional services including change management, interim management, consultancy, policy advice, secondment and executive search for the Dutch public sector. With this investment Halder is acquiring a 30% stake. The management and the employees retain the remaining shares.
The financial details of this transaction will not be disclosed.

BMC Group ( is the Dutch market leader in professional services for the public sector (government and non-profit organizations). The company was established in 1986. After a buyout of Deloitte in 1996, the management and the employees acquired the company. In 2005 the group realised a turnover of 86 million euro (about 100 million euro in 2006). Almost 900 professionals, often coming from governmental organizations, educational and social institutions and from other public bodies, are working in the company’s 6 offices spread over the Netherlands.

BMC Group centralizes 4 different companies: BMC, TMOP, XOPP and PublicSpirit. BMC is specialized in change management, organizational advice, coaching and training. TMOP focuses on interim management and project support. XOPP mainly seconds (administrative) support staff, whereas PublicSpirit recruits and selects executives, directors and supervisors.

Subject to the approval of the Dutch anti-trust authorities, it is expected that the transaction will be concluded by mid March. All parties involved have decided not to disclose any financial details on the transaction following this announcement.
