Openbravo wins InfoWorld 2010 Best of Open Source Award: Third "Bossie" in four years

Openbravo, the leading web-based open source Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) company, has been named by InfoWorld as the ‘Best of Open Source Enterprise Software’.

The InfoWorld Bossies: the Best of Open Source Software awards, honor the best open source software for business. The InfoWorld Test Center works to identify the most promising and cost-effective products available to IT organizations.

InfoWorld described Openbravo ERP by stating “Openbravo is a package that combines finance, sales, purchasing, and inventory modules. A free community edition and an extensive professional version are available through commercial license. Its plug-in architecture offers simple, template-driven setup, and customization without hard coding. The version 3.0 release candidate enhances navigation with quick-launch shortcuts and tabbed panels that allow users to view multiple grids simultaneously. New role-based portal pages and dashboards also contribute to the highly customizable experience.” It concluded by saying “getting started couldn't be simpler, thanks to a newly streamlined setup process and preconfigured editions on Ubuntu Server and Amazon Cloud.”

Openbravo has continued to exhibit considerable growth with the recent announcement of a new version of Openbravo QuickStart 2, its rapid implementation ERP solution, and achieving over 1.7 million downloads. Furthermore, the developer has seen a major increase in demand for the flexible ERP add-ons that are available through Openbravo Exchange.
