Majority of financial consortium sells its stake in Mobistar

Cobepa Group, Gevaert, GIMV and KBC today announced the sale of Mobistar-shares. Gevaert, GIMV, KBC Bank and KBC Insurance have sold their entire stake while Cobepa Group will retain 50% of its participation (i.e. 4%). As a result of this transaction approximately 5.6 million shares haven been placed in the market and Mobistar’s free-float increases substantially. Goldman Sachs and KBC Securities have executed the transaction. 

The sale of the Mobistar shares fits in with the intended rotation of the portfolio of the different parties, which have participated in founding Mobistar in 1996.

Capital gains for GIMV are expected to amount to 34.7 million euro. Moreover, its net asset value is positively impacted by 11.5 million euro (i.e. 25% illiquidity discount) or 0.5 euro per GIMV share.
