Dirk Beeusaert has worked for Gimv since 1996. He has a law degree from the University of Ghent (Belgium) and a special degree in tax law and accounting from Vlerick (Belgium). He joined Gimv’s Executive Committee in 2001. Dirk Beeusaert is responsible for business development and providing support with the legal aspects of deals. He is also company secretary and, as such, co-responsible for the proper functioning of the Gimv group.

Edmond Bastijns joined Gimv in September 2000. He started his career in 1996, at Linklaters De Bandt in Brussels in the Company Law and Mergers and Acquisitions department. Edmond Bastijns has a Master’s degree in Law from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium).

Joris Hilhorst joined Gimv in 2008. He started his career in 1998 at Simmons & Simmons (Rotterdam and later on in AMsterdan, the Netherlands) and worked most of his time in the Corporate Finance and Financial Markets Department. Joris Pursued his career as General Counsel with equal Group, a real estate, financing and venture capital firm.

He holds a master's degree in Law from Leiden University (the Netherlands). In 2005 Joris completed the post-graduate Grotius Academy Course (University of Nijmegen, the Netherlands) on financing and securities.

Stijn Van Loock joined Gimv in 2008. From 2001 until 2008, he worked as a lawyer at business law firm Laga (Belgium). Stijn Van Loock holds a Master’s degree in Law from Universiteit Antwerpen (UIA, Belgium).

Ann Maurau joined Gimv as legal counsel in March 2010. From September 2004 to February 2010, she was a lawyer in the M&A - Corporate Transactions department of Allen & Overy in Brussels, where she specialised in general corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, with a focus on private equity transactions and joint ventures. From June 2007 to May 2008, she was on secondment to Allen & Overy’s Shanghai office. 

Ann received her law degree from the University of Ghent (UGent) in 2002 and worked as an assistant at the department of Economic Law of UGent until August 2004.

Ann also holds a post graduate degree in Corporate Finance from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KULeuven, 2009-2010).
