Alex Brabers (1965) joined Gimv in 1990, after working for Dexia Bank.
He is a board member of various listed and non-listed companies, including Telenet, Inside Secure, Nomadesk, OTN Systems and Oree. Before he was on the board of Mobistar, Emme, Barco, Barconet, Option and Telos.
Alex Brabers holds a Masters degree in Economics from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium).

During his more than ten years in the Venture Capital team Bart Diels (1969) has built a successful & broad full cycle track record, both in early & late stage investments, business building and exit (IPO & trade sale) and this in different Venture Capital areas. Bart guided early stage companies such as BAI, Coreoptics, eXimius, Filepool and Metris from a smart idea towards a rewarding exit. Also later stage deals such as FICS, Clear2Pay and LMS were successfully sold.
Today Bart is a board member of GreenWatt, OTN Systems, NovoPolymers, McPhy and Punch Powertrain and an observer at XDC. Since 2009 he is responsible within the Venture Capital team for Cleantech investments and he also coordinates this activity between the different business units of Gimv. Bart is a member of Gimv's Partner Council.
Before joining Gimv in 1995, Bart worked for Delta Lloyd Bank and as a PhD student at the University of Antwerp (Belgium). He holds a Master in Financial & Quantitative Economics and an MBA, both from the University of Antwerp (Belgium).

Geoffroy Dubus (1968) heads up Gimv’s Technology activities in France since 2007. Prior to joining Gimv, he was a General Partner of Innovacom in Paris, a French venture capital company specialized in IT and telecom. At Innovacom, he managed investments in companies such as Netvalue (IPO Euronext and acquired by Netratings – NASDAQ), Hi-Media (Euronext B) and Voxmobili (acquired by OnMobile – BSE). Before, Geoffroy Dubus was Assistant Vice President and Director of Business Development of France Telecom North America in New York (USA).
Geoffroy is a board member of Movea, EasyVoyage, Made in Design and Private Outlet.
Geoffroy Dubus holds a Msc in telecommunications engineering from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Telecommunications of Paris (France), has a Master’s degree in Physics from the University of Paris XI-Orsay (France) and an MBA from Columbia University in New York.

Before joining Gimv in 2008, Hansjörg Sage (1969) was a Director in 3i’s global Venture Capital team, where he focused on hardware-related early- and late-stage investments in European technology start-ups, mainly in the electronics, semiconductor and cleantech sectors. He managed investments in u-blox, h t e and Dialog Imaging Systems. Before, Hansjörg Sage worked on technology investments in Europe and Israel at Lehman Brothers. He started his career as a strategy consultant with the Boston Consulting Group in 1997.
Hansjörg is a board member of Dialog Imaging Systems, Ubidyne and PE International. Prior he served the Board of CoreOptics (sold to Cisco in 2010). He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Karlsruhe and a PhD from the University of Strasbourg in control theory and robotics. He also obtained an MBA from Insead.

Steven Coppens (1975) joined Gimv in 2000. He is actively involved in early and later stage software investments in Europe and the US. Before joining Gimv, he worked as a consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Brussels. During this period, he mainly worked on international SAP implementations. Prior to that, he was a business analyst for United Technologies Corporation in Paris.
Steven Coppens serves on the boards of ActivePath, Openbravo and Human Inference. He was responsible for the investments in Maximiles (IPO, France), Ecophos (sold to familiy fund), Proficient (sold to LivePerson - Nasdaq), TinubuSquare (sold to FSI) and L&C (sold to Nuance - Nasdaq).
He holds a Master in Applied Economics from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium) and a Master from ESC Montpellier (France).

Elderd Land (1967) has been working at Gimv Netherlands since 2000. Prior to joining Gimv, he worked at ABN AMRO Corporate Finance, where he was in charge of the telecom and internet sector teams in Amsterdam. Before, he worked for KPN Telecom in the International Business Development department.
Elderd Land serves and/or manages investments on/in the board of Mentum, GreenPeak Technologies, RES Software and Human Inference. He was a board member of 3mensio, Psytechnics and Liquavista.
He holds a Master in Business Administration from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam (the Netherlands).

Aik Deveneijns (1979) joined Gimv in 2009. He started his career at KPN, where he worked as product manager and in corporate sales. His portfolio included managed services and Software-as-a-Service. Before joining Gimv, he worked for Batenborch as a headhunter for executives in technology.
Aik is a board member of Nomadesk, and acts as board observer for Human Inference and Activepath. He is also involved in the portfolio management of RES. He holds a Master’s degree in Technology Management of the Eindhoven University of Technology (the Netherlands) and a degree in Business Marketing (EMCQ Level 6).

Before joining Gimv in 2010, Pierre Egot (1983) worked as an associate with BayTech Venture Capital in Munich. He covered the domains of technology and cleantech. He played an active role in many investments and reinvestments in Europe and Israel and was also deeply involved in the portfolio management of eight BayTech participations, amongst which both early-stage and late stage companies. Prior to this, Pierre was a consultant for Estin & Co. in Paris for a start-up specialised in smart-metering and in Cambridge.
Pierre acts as a board observer for Mentum, Ubidyne and Private Outlet. He is/was also actively involved in the portfolio management of Movea and TinubuSquare (sold to FSI).
Pierre obtained his Msc in Engineering from the Paris École Politechnique. In addition to this, he obtained his MPhil in Technology Policy from the University of Cambridge (Judge Business School), specialising in innovation theories and energy issues.

Robert Gallenberger (1977) started his career at BMW in Munich. He coordinated the production ramp-up for major updates of the 3 Series with new engines including the “efficient dynamics” co2 reduction technologies and represented the production side in the product management organization. After his MBA studies he worked for the Boston Consulting Group in London on projects in the energy sector and industrial co2 emission reduction. Before joining Gimv he had already gathered Private Equity and Venture Capital experience at 3i, DFJ Esprit and BCG.
Robert is a board observer at Oree, Novopolymers, Openbravo and actively involved in the portfolio management of McPhy and PE International.
He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University Munich, a Master of Science from Ecole Centrale Paris and an MBA from London Business School.

Matthias Vandepitte (1980) joined Gimv in 2011. Previously he worked for ExxonMobil’s petroleum refining business in Belgium and in Italy, where he held several technical and managerial positions in the fields of process optimization, planning, maintenance, energy efficiency and CO2 management.
During his MBA studies he interned at Bain & Company in Brussels, and he gained private equity and venture capital experience at Climate Change Capital Private Equity in London.
Matthias is a board observer at GreenPeak and GreenWatt. He is actively involved in the portfolio management of OTN Systems.
Matthias holds a MSc in Electrotechnical Engineering from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium) and Ensimag (France), and an MBA from London Business School.

Eline Talboom (1968) joined Gimv in 2000. Before, she worked with Sydes, a subsidiary of the VUM Group, the leading Belgian newspaper publisher. Prior to that, she worked with Bank Brussels Lambert (currently ING) for eight years, as Product Manager International Payment Products and as Segment Manager for retail clients.
Eline Talboom holds a Master in Applied Economics from the University of Antwerp (RUCA), Belgium.

Sara Lambrechts (1979) joined Gimv in 2002. Currently, she is responsible for financial analysis and due diligence. Before assuming this position, she was in charge of transaction support and portfolio reporting.

Helga Aerts (1977) joined Gimv in 2008. Before, she worked at Basell Polyolefins Company BVBA (Brussels, Belgium), where she focused on finance reporting and on Reporting, Improvement of Processes and Projects (RIPP).
Helga Aerts holds a Master’s degree in Criminology from Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Belgium) and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from PHL University College (Belgium).
