Alex Brabers (1965) joined Gimv in 1990, after working for Dexia Bank.

He is a board member of various listed and non-listed companies, including Telenet, Inside Secure, Nomadesk, OTN Systems and Oree. Before he was on the board of Mobistar, Emme, Barco, Barconet, Option and Telos.

Alex Brabers holds a Masters degree in Economics from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium).

Description

French company Inside Secure (formerly Inside Contactless) develops and sells chips and other hardware for contactless smartcards and electronic card readers. Inside’s contactless payment chips are used, among other things, to permit wireless payments from mobile telephones. The telephone is just placed next to a scanner and the purchase is activated in wireless mode. Inside is taking full advantage of the crucial importance of rapid, efficient product development in this fast growing market. With offices in France, China, Poland, the USA and Singapore, Inside is a global player.
