We have embarked on a strategy of hyper-growth, through eco-designed products that are more concerned with animal welfare and innovation in our brands.

AgroBiothers
In 2018, Gimv became the majority shareholder of the French group Agrobiothers, a European player in the production and distribution of accessories and care products for small pets. Agrobiothers wants to accelerate its growth by developing and selling more environment- and animal-friendly products under its own brand, by strengthening its positioning on digital channels and by making acquisitions in what is a fairly fragmented market.

When ambition meets ambition
AgroBiothers is well positioned in a buoyant and resilient market. It has strong organic growth prospects, particularly in the hygiene and care sector as a result of European regulatory developments. The Group also aims to step up its external growth strategy in Europe, in what remains a fragmented market, with a view to strengthening its commercial presence or expanding its product range. AgroBiothers’ growth ambitions perfectly fit with our Connected Consumer strategy; we will bring to along our knowledge of European markets and of the challenges specific to the multichannel BtoB distribution sector to realize their ambitions.
Together, we build a leading company
In September 2020, AgroBiothers indicated that it would focus on a more environmentally friendly positioning. The company intends to double its growth by developing a greener and organic product offering, passing by eco-designed products, more animal welfare, and innovation in its brands. This CSR positioning includes e.g. the launch of ecological, cardboard-based, cat litter material as well as the withdrawal from sale products that hurt animals (such as whips or necklaces anti-bark).
