Metis Group serves demanding verticals including Defence & Security, Medical, Energy and Industry. Building on the complementary strengths of AME, Variass and A1, the group combines deep technological expertise in domains such as power conversion, sensing & actuating and IoT with advanced, highly automated production and broad assembly capabilities. By combining development expertise, production know-how and operational reliability across multiple locations, Metis Group contributes directly to the success of its customers, who rely on the group for crucial components, modules and systems.

The formation of Metis Group in 2024 by combining AME, Variass and A1, marked the starting point of the shared growth journey. Under the Metis brand, the group aims to further strengthen its customer partnerships, expand its technological and production capabilities and pursue sustainable growth, both organically and through a focused (international) buy-and-build strategy. The operating model of Metis group is focused on bottom-up integration based on smart collaboration between its group companies, whilst retaining local entrepreneurship. Today, Metis Group generates approximately EUR 120 million in revenue and employs around 400 committed professionals across Eindhoven, Veendam, Drachten and Almelo in the Netherlands.
