The Wallfashion House acquires a controlling stake in Rasch Wallpaper and Textil
Creation of a new European market leader
Tielt, April 8, 2024 – The Wallfashion House, a leading European association of designers and producers of wall decoration products, is joining forces with Rasch Tapeten, the second largest wallpaper and textile manufacturer in Germany with a history that goes back to 1861.
The Wallfashion House was established in 2020 by Down2Earth Capital and Gimv with the aim to become the leading wallfashion player in Europe. The group includes the Belgian wallpaper manufacturer Grandeco, the Dutch manufacturer of 3D wall panels WALL!SUPPLY and the British design editor Holden.
The Wallfashion House now entered into an agreement to acquire a controlling stake in Tapetenfabrik Gebr. Rasch. The Rasch family will retain a significant stake in the company, thus ensuring continuity. Rasch will continue to be managed independently by the current management team.
With over € 150 M in sales and 600 passionate people, The Wallfashion House will become the European market leader in the wallfashion industry.
This step enables the combined group to take a leading role in the further consolidation of an industry characterised by significant investments in digitalization, innovation and sustainability and by a premiumization of the product offering. By joining forces with Rasch, the group strengthens its geographical market presence.
